Tatum Albert is a Cree/Michif/Polish iskwew from Saskatoon,Saskatchewan, with ancestral roots in the Red River—St. François Xaviersettlement, later relocating to Duck Lake and Fish Creek, Saskatchewan. Withover 20 years of experience in social work and education, Tatum is a leadingvoice in trauma-informed practice and Indigenous-centered education.

Tatum holds a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, a Bachelor ofEducation with Honours from the SUNTEP/ITEP program at the University ofSaskatchewan, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Regina. Shecurrently serves as an Assistant Professor at MacEwan University and teaches asa sessional lecturer at First Nations University of Canada and WHEAT Institute,where she blends land-based learning, expressive arts, and Indigenousknowledges into counselling, teaching and professional development.
