COMPANY OVERVIEW
Beginning in 1995 as a speaker’s bureau, Ron Morris Seminars provided Saskatoon businesses with high end speakers from around North America. While building the foundations of his business, Ron Morris attained his professional speaking designation becoming another talent resource for the company.
In 2003, looking to grow the business, Ron brought in Mathew Cey as a partner. Mathew’s expertise would expand the company’s offerings and effectively increase marketing to the business sector. The company began to experience the desired growth and in 2008 re-branded themselves to “Morris Interactive”. The focus of Morris Interactive was to increase utilization of speakers and trainers, as well as adoption of 150 online training courses that were developed by some of North Americas leading E-Learning Authors.
Today, Morris Interactive brings extensive experience, and a deep pool of product and service offerings in the topical areas of Leadership, Customer Service, Sales, Communication, and Safety programs that are facilitated by subject matter experts. Employing curriculum developers gives them the ability to customize both live and online training programs for their clients. The company rounds out its services with over 150, self-paced, online training programs in the areas of Professional Development, Safety, and Computer Training.

Ron Morris

Specializing in customer service, sales and leadership skills, Ron Morris delivers thought-provoking, enlightening keynotes and top-notch training seminars.
Ron combines extensive knowledge and experience with an engaging, unpretentious style and deadpan wit. Whether he’s on stage addressing business executives or in the classroom facilitating a skills-development session for frontline managers, his presentations are guaranteed to capture and hold attention.
Mathew Cey
Mathew has been with Morris Interactive since 2003 and serves primarily as the company’s business development guru. His ambitious, energetic spirit guides our organizational growth and leads the Morris Interactive team. Mathew focuses on finding the right solution for each unique client and actively promotes the Morris Interactive line of professional development, leadership development, soft skills, business skills and safety certifications.
Mathew also facilitates several of our Sales and Leadership courses including Prospecting for Leads like a Pro, Using the Telephone as a Sales Tool and Relationship Building.
Mathew fills his spare time with his new daughter, baseball and golf club shopping.
Nicole Golden, MA
Nicole has held senior management positions with a variety of non–profits and corporations including Chief Executive Officer with the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce. With more than 15 years experience in the area of organizational development and strategic planning, Nicole has gained valuable experience that she uses to work with new and existing clients.
Over the last five years, Nicole has expanded her knowledge base to include project management and business analysis. Over the last three years, she has developed a variety of training and technical materials for several training institutions and others related to process improvement, administration and project management.
Nicole’s facilitation includes Corporate Health & Wellness, Yoga & Workplace Fitness, Self-Esteem and Confidence Building, Life Skills, Strategic Planning, and everything related to “Holding A Successful Meeting”.
Nicole holds a Masters Degree in Sociology and courses in the fields of Human Resource Management and Public Relations.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys her spending time with family, practicing Yoga and Rowing with the Saskatoon Masters Rowing Club.
Jacqueline Dykstra
Jacqueline recently joined Morris Interactive as a relationship coordinator with a focus on business development. She has developed a high level of professionalism, along with enhanced communication and organization skills. Previously, Jacqueline worked with the Federal Government in the Tax Audit Department where she honed her finance and taxation knowledge, assisting clients in their compliance efforts.
Her enthusiastic personality allows Jacqueline to actively promote the goals and success of Morris Interactive.
Outside of Morris Interactive, Jacqueline enjoys playing basketball, traveling and is interested in learning how to make sushi!
Lorna StandingReady
Lorna recently joined the Morris Interactive team as our Aboriginal Consultant providing sales and customer support to our First Nation and Metis clients. Lorna has a Cree ancestry and is a member of the White Bear First Nations. Lorna has a diverse background in management and administration, facilitation and training and research.
Lorna’s professional experience includes a Professorship at the First Nations University of Canada, Program Manager with the First Nations Employment Centre and Regional Director with the Canadian Unity Council. Lorna has provided legal research expertise on a number of projects with various First Nations organizations including the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians.
Over the years, Lorna has received numerous awards including: the S.G.I. Stan Hamilton Scholarship, U of R Faculty of Administration; the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Award, Province of Saskatchewan; the Graduate Scholarship, U of R Faculty of Education; the Saskatchewan Centennial Jubilee Award, 2005; and the Award in Politics, Canadian Dimensions Magazine and most recently, the “Aboriginal Business Award” from the “Women Of The Dawn”.
Lorna is currently working on completing a Masters in the Human Resource Development Program.
Guy Hughes
Guy’s career has included roles in Sales, Management, Marketing and Business Development. He has had success with SME as well as Corporate sales and International Business Development. Guy’s latest role was Director of Export Development for the Technology & Professional services sector in Saskatchewan. He has facilitated product training sessions, change management courses and International Marketing classes among others. A committed lifelong learner Guy is a Competent Toastmaster (CTM), Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) and holds a B. Admin from Athabasca University. Guy recently attended the “Developing Leadership Impact” course at Royal Roads University in British Columbia.
Walter Frainetti
Walter Frainetti has been involved in planning since 1976. With a background in both sales and marketing, Walter has developed a unique approach to organizational development and business planning. He is an accomplished strategic planner and facilitator with a special talent for finding innovative solutions to complex problems. He has held senior management positions with Ault Foods, Duracell Inc, Ciba-Geigy and Johnson & Johnson.
In his most recent corporate position, Walter was Vice-President of Sales for Jostens’ Canada Ltd. and was instrumental in restructuring the company’s sales force and developing a new strategic direction resulting in major sales and profit increases.
Walter is a member of the Toronto Board of Trade, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, a Business Management Certificate from AMA International and is fluent in English, French and Italian.
Shirley Ostafie
Shirley is a dynamic and knowledgeable speaker with more than two decades of experience in sales, recruiting, training and facilitating. Her exceptional ability to connect people skills to business strategies is inspiring and effective.
As a successful business owner and former District Sales Manager for a Fortune 500 company, Shirley has experienced firsthand the rewards that come with accomplishing sales targets, motivating and inspiring others to be successful as well as overcoming obstacles and embracing change.
Shirley understands great leadership, customer service excellence, relationship selling, effective management and team building and has a passion for transferring this knowledge to others.
Shirley presently resides in Saskatoon with her husband and two children.
Amanda Wapass-Griffin
Amanda is a passionate educator, from the Thunderchild First Nation. She is of Cree, Dutch and English ancestry. She specializes in Aboriginal Awareness Education, Diversity Training, and Leadership Training. She is an experienced and engaging facilitator, conference presenter and motivational speaker with an extensive knowledge base and a quick wit! When she is not working (which happens from time to time) Amanda loves to travel to parts unknown with her husband.
Karri Howlett

Karri is experienced in financial risk analysis and planning for financial institutions and small business. Her knowledge is based on positions held with Malaysia Industrial Development Finance, CIBC, British Petroleum, Co-operative Trust Company of Canada (now Concentra Financial), and FirstSask Credit Union. Karri has conducted financial due diligence and risk analysis for several business endeavours, including mergers of financial institutions ranging in size from $75 million to $3 billion in assets. Karri’s workshops include Budget & Financial Management, Inventory Management – The Nuts & Bolts, and Project Management Fundamentals.
Darren Palendat
Specializing in leadership, sales and time management, Darren Palendat brings over a decade of professional management and sales experience to his workshops. Darren Palendat will challenge you to achieve peak performance in your professional and personal life. Darren combines extensive experience in marketing and management with a passion for coaching and continuous learning to deliver principle based learning opportunities. Darren draws his insights from experience in front-line sales to senior management, and from his favorite past-time reading and learning about leadership. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Darren is a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, and has been involved with coaching and professional development for over a decade.
Ian McWalter
Ian’s commitment is to deliver the highest standard of Safety training available. He has trained more than 5000 people across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta over the past 7 years.
In addition to his vast OH&S training experience, Ian has developed and delivered self-defense & martial arts training, Private Investigator and Security Guard training, and is currently coaching various martial arts students.
In addition to conducting all of Morris Interactive’s Safety training, he also facilitates courses in Self-Esteem, Outdoor Team Building Exercises and Self-Defense.
Curtis Weber
You will not hear a more heart wrenching account of a workplace injury that could have been prevented than that told by Curtis Weber. In 1999, Curtis was in his 3rd day of work with a new crew when his life was turned upside down. His body was hit with three separate shocks of 14,400 volts of electricity that bounced him around causing severe burns that would forever scar his life. Today, Curtis speaks publicly about his ordeal and brings a message of injury prevention and awareness to groups across the country.
